Puglia in masseria

Day 1: Upon your arrival in Bari, our driver will welcome you and accompany you to the charming masseria. If time allows, we can suggest optional excursions for you to enhance your experience or simply offer some downtime for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Day 2: After breakfast, meet your guide and embark on an exploration of Bari Vecchia, the historic heart of the city. Discover the revered Basilica of San Nicola, the magnificent Cathedral of San Sabino, and the charming Arco Basso, where you can witness locals skillfully making Orecchiette pasta. Immerse yourself in the vibrant culture as you visit Teatro Margherita and Petruzzelli. Along the way, indulge in local products, sampling panzerotti, focaccia, Peroni, popizze, taralli, and more! In the afternoon, we will journey to Polignano a Mare, where you can leisurely stroll through its panoramic terraces. Conclude the day with a boat tour, exploring the famous caves, including the renowned Red Bull balcony and Lama Monachile, all while enjoying an aperitif at sea. We will then return to the comfort of your masseria.

Day 3: After a delightful breakfast, we will take you to Castellana for a visit to its captivating caves. Embark on a minimum 3km route, approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, immersing yourself in the beauty of stalagmites, stalactites, fossils, and caverns. The morning continues with a visit to Alberobello, where you can explore the unique trulli houses in Rione Monti and Rione Aia Piccola. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at your own pace. The afternoon is dedicated to two characteristic villages: Ostuni and Locorotondo. Marvel at Ostuni, known as the iconic “White City,” with its striking white lime buildings and ancient olive trees. Discover the historic center of Locorotondo, from which the town derives its name (“Locus Rotundus”), and enjoy breathtaking views from the viewpoint. Return to the welcoming atmosphere of the masseria.

Day 4: After breakfast, we will transfer you to the beautiful city of Lecce, renowned as the “Lady of Baroque.” As you pass through Porta Napoli, you will be immersed in a world of ancient palaces and traditional papier-mâché workshops. Explore the Basilica of Santa Croce, the vibrant Piazza Sant’Oronzo, the ancient Amphitheater, and the impressive Carlo V Castle. Keep your camera handy as there will be numerous photo-worthy moments. You’ll want to remember to stop at a café and order a Pasticiotto, the famous pastry of Lecce, as well as a “caffè Leccese” which is the delicious local coffee. Enjoy a leisurely lunch before venturing to the enchanting town of Otranto, known as the “Port of the Orient.” Discover the captivating monuments within the town and make sure to visit the stunning “Bauxite Quarry,” a former mining site transformed into an emerald green pond. After our exciting day, we will take you back to rest at your masseria. 

Day 5: After a delightful breakfast, take some leisure time to enjoy at your own pace before bidding farewell. We will arrange a convenient transfer to the airport or train station, ensuring a seamless journey to your next destination. Cherish the memories created during your stay at the enchanting masseria.
